The CENTRAL TAXIS Poker Nights & Charity Golf Day held on August 28th 2011
Raising money for The Baby Blues Appeal

Every year Central Taxis tries to help out one needy charity in Wolverhampton. Previously we have held a charity 25/25 cricket match and fun day at Wightwick & Finchfield’s Cricket ground and raised £745.00 for Compton Hospice. See the Twenty Five / 25 Cricket Match and Fun Day Here

2011 - This year we held a Charity Golf day on Sunday 28th August at The Wergs Golf Club, with teams of players competing and helping us to raise as much money as possible for this year's chosen Charity “The Baby Blues Appeal” of Wolverhampton. We also held charity Poker Nights to aid the cause and a raffle of prizes generously donated to the cause by our suppliers and customers.

Between the events, we are very pleased to announce that through everyone's efforts and generosity, we raised a magnificent total of £1,110.00 for the Baby Blues Appeal.

The Baby Blues Appeal is a non-profit making charity organisation, committed to raising much needed funds for local neonatal units in the Wolverhampton and Walsall areas of the West Midlands.

Established in 1992, we opened our charity shop in Wolverhampton's Mander Centre in 1995, before moving to our current location in Victoria Street (WV1) in 2000.

Our dedicated team has so far raised in excess of £115,000 for the units at our local hospitals to help aid the provision of vital medical assistance and equipment needed to give premature babies a greater fighting chance in life.

We strongly believe that this is a cause worthy of all our time and effort, and know that with your help and support, we can surpass our current target of £200,000, which would go a long way to enabling these units to continue with the outstanding work and services they provide every day.
